Does it matter? There are few commands that need the table to be selected, LOCATE being the most annoying, but the ones used more frequently by me, all include the IN statement or an ALIAS parameter, which I always use, even if there is only one table open in the DE

Furthermore, sometimes is the desired effect, open a table but keeping the current one selected.
