You are correct. About 90 minutes after writing my previous email I got the Aug MSDN update. It is labeled Visual Studio 6.0 Enterprise Edition (with no beta label) The version is 06.00.8167.00.

The visual studio is 8 cds labeled:
1-3: VS 6.0
4: Visual J++ 6.0 Technology Preview 2
5-6: MSDN Library (disk 1 & 2)
13: MS team, MS project, MS visual Modeler, Ms assembler for Windows, Liquid Motion
15: MS office 97 SR1

There is also a new SQL 7.0 Beta 3 cd Build 517
