Words 'Clerics' and 'Power' make (the rest of) my hair stand up. Unfortunately even in western societies clergy has quiet a bit of influence on politics and everyday life. They no longer burn wiches but they blow quiet a bit of flames (cast influence) left and right.

About women & religion;
How meny men were burned back in inquisition times for whichkraft?
How meny women are priests or reverents or rabines etc ?

Is there any religion on this planet that fully comply with human rights principles ? Why aren't we getting on their case ?

How about our so perfect democracies;
How meny women are ellected as (US?) presidents ?
Can (declared) gay become president anywhere? Can Gay become top army general? Women as top army generals?

We can't really answer all these questions, but we can always
conviniently grill/burn Ahmadinejad/Iran. Black ship sticks out keeping
entire grayscale look all white & righteous.
