I was lucky to be largely ignorant of finer points of the language at that time - I wouldn't know which epithet was smiled or frowned upon. It just sounded like a forced up rhyme.

Was it Montana or Vermont or Alabama where there's still a capital punishment for anyone who tries to publish verse rhyming with "-ation" and/or "-otion"? Only "Summertime blues" survived because of the grandmother clause.
