I, generally, place in the main program at routine to write default settings to the registry at HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\VisualFoxPro\9.0\Options. You find in the listing a key for Deleted; simply set its value to "ON". It is my understanding that when a private datasession is initialized it read the default settings from there.

To get a complete set of keys, open the Tools / Options dialog and click the "Set as Default".
