If you put an ASSERT .F. statement in your code immediately after your pdfpath = ... statement and run from the development environment you'll have an option to debug when the statement is hit. In the debugger, watch pdfpath and you will see its value. Copy that value and paste it into a windows command window and try to run it. See if it opens the file.
