The fact that we even have to compare the 2 is just mind boggling. Especially when I think of the chapter in a book I read last spring. Something I never considered. The numbers of, when embargos were launched against Iraq in previous years, deaths in Iraq attributed to unsanitary conditions because they couldn't import basic necessities.

I think the book used the numbers provided by the UN as the most accepted numbers. It listed 500,000 deaths of Iraqi children directly attributed to the embargo.

>>>BTW, I forget; how much are we spending in Iraq (including the huge amounts we pay to mercenaries and Halliburton and other companies) and what percentage of this does the Children's bill amount to? (rethorical question, no need to answer - it's your money too, so you should be concerned)

>>I know it was rhetorical, but here there is an interesting comparison http://nationalpriorities.org/index.php?option=com_content&Itemid=207&id=319&task=view
