I just wish the gum'ment would grow enough testicular droopage to be able to say "Hey, we f'd up there. Here's how we'll make it right" and then do what it said it would do.

I'm so NOT getting my soapbox out on what I think gum'ment should do. It's way to much work and y'all would just kick it out from under me.

>>>>BTW, I forget; how much are we spending in Iraq (including the huge amounts we pay to mercenaries and Halliburton and other companies) and what percentage of this does the Children's bill amount to? (rethorical question, no need to answer - it's your money too, so you should be concerned)
>>>
>>>There should be absolutely no problem with funding any of this. Simply require KBR, Custer Battles, Blackwater et al to return any money they can't account for, or else forfeit their contracts.
>>
>>But if they can't account for it, then they didn't get it, did they? Therefore, they shouldn't have to give back funds they have no record of ever receiving.
>>
>>Can you just here the lawyer's repeating this?

>Here and there, sure... but the govt could equally claim that "we don't care what you did with your copy of the receipt, we still have ours, fork the money back or else". That's in the theoretical case that the said govt would grow a spine or a death wish.
