There is an excellent article on the missing $9B in last weeks Rolling Stone. It starts off by talking about an ex-govt employee who moved to a private firm that got a hugh contract in Iraq.

He was in front of a Senate investigation comittee as the building his comp was hired to build in Iraq is inhabitable. Something about poor plumbing. So you can literally see feces and urine dripping from the ceiling on the floor beneath the bathrooms.

The article mentioned how humerous it was that a Senator actually asked the person from the company if they felt bad enough to give some of the money back.

>>>BTW, I forget; how much are we spending in Iraq (including the huge amounts we pay to mercenaries and Halliburton and other companies) and what percentage of this does the Children's bill amount to? (rethorical question, no need to answer - it's your money too, so you should be concerned)
>>
>>There should be absolutely no problem with funding any of this. Simply require KBR, Custer Battles, Blackwater et al to return any money they can't account for, or else forfeit their contracts.
>
>But if they can't account for it, then they didn't get it, did they? Therefore, they shouldn't have to give back funds they have no record of ever receiving.
>
>Can you just here the lawyer's repeating this?

(On an infant's shirt): Already smarter than Bush
