Josh,
thanks a lot I'm fairly new to views as you can guess and I've recently rewritten an application using views wherever possible, the ease of system maintenance in comparison to the old relational way is amazing and performance, if anything is snappier, I don't think MS really promotes local views enough in there documentation of VFP, as Client server is not as popular in this country as maybe yours, we tend to think views = CS
