I can see future proofing VFP applications is going to be tricky with no further development. The error "Picture too big, corrupt, or in wrong format (Error 1108)" is thrown by some (but not all) JPGs off my Canon EOS 350D, which are 3456 x 2304 pixels, when trying to display them using the VFP image control.

This is an 8 megapixel camera, not all that big these days. I can get it to display by downgrading the JPG compression to reduce the file size, but you get the drift. I imagine the image control was designed years before there were images of this size.

There are, of course, any number of replacement controls. Anyone have a preferred alternative ... ?
