>Does anyone now the maximum number of items that can be defined in a scrollable popup menu? I've come into a scenario where a certain dataset contain 11,000+ records, for which I am displaying a column in that dataset in a popup menu. The menu doesn't come to the foreground, and only a small border is visible at the top of where the menu should be.
The thing is whether your users would thank you for presenting them with, say, 64k items to scroll through and select from. Nay, 1,000! Or even 100?
If you have SO many items to display maybe it's time to start pre-selecting them, say from checkboxes, or subdivisions of your population, to reduce the overall display.
