>Even old fogies like me have joined the club. My project to copy all 700-800 CDs onto an iPod is ongoing. That just amazes me that it is possible. When I mentioned this before Terry (mis)calculated how many days it would take to listen to all of them. But that isn't the point. The point is they're all available.

Oh, I have no problem with iPods. I have one myself. With all the long flights I've been taking lately, it really comes in handy ... I love listening to it on an airplane. But I just don't see myself walking/biking around city streets with music stuck in my ears. That just seems weird to me. But then, I never joined the craze of jogging/running/exercising with music either, so maybe it's just me.

>>OMG, that is soooo true! When we were in Paris, I was totally amazed at the vast number of people walking or bicycling by with the damn iPod ear-buds dangling from their ears!! And not all were young people either. Maybe I haven't done much people watching here lately, or maybe the iPods are more prevalent over there, I dunno ... but it just amazed me.
