Thanks for the tip. I don't have NAV loaded but will try unloading all other programs to see if it makes a difference.

By "considerably", can you give an example? Currently, it takes about 70+ seconds to load a project file that has right around 150 files (50+ scx, 50+ frx, 30+ vcx and misc). I have disabled VSS from the Tools->Options->Projects tab and then the project opens in seconds.
