>Depends on the airline. We didn't take the direct flight from Paris to Seattle, we had a stop in Detroit. So, the trip gets broken up into an 8 hour flight, Paris to Detroit, and then a 4-1/2 flight, Detroit to Seattle. I have mixed feelings about taking the direct flight ... if we got business/first class where you could actually do some sleeping while flying (reclining seats with foot rests, just like a La-Z-Boy), then direct isn't so bad. <g>

I had my first (and, so far, only) experience with those full recline seats in July. Long story, the bottom line of which is that one flight was cancelled and somehow in getting rescheduled, we got upgraded, so we flew Paris-Philly business class. It wasn't as comfortable as I'd expected, but it sure beat the heck out of coach. I think if I had that on an overnight flight to Europe, I could do some real sleeping.
