My experience is that active stync is totally unreliable. Sometimes it will synch my PPC, sometimes it won't, and other times I have to reinstall Active Stync.

>Here is the problem: When I connect the Symbol Pocket PC to my PC (again, using USB cable), on the system tray I see an icon that looks like a network connection. The message over this icon says "acquiring network address". And then after trying for some time it fails. And the ActiveSync says it cannot connect to my Pocket PC device. The problem, as I see it, is that my PC "sees" this device (Pocket PC) not as a USB-type device but as some networking device. Because usually when you have a USB device you would see a different icon on the system tray. I tried to explain this to the Symbol tech support guy but he didn't understand and said he would "elevate me to the next level support." The next level, for what I know, could be a guy in a next cubicle. How do I explain to them what is going on? Simple and to the point.
