Sorry to bust your bubble but you are going to see many such days. For instance if using an image object, setting the background to be transparent was a property away in VFP provided the background was white.
I cannot see any such property in the C# picture box. It always insists on showing the background. So my images that looked good in VFP now have this ughy white background in .Net forms unless I colour the image background the same as my form which introduces many more problems.
The days of getting such things done in a few seconds are sadly gone.
I know, since I just struggled through creating a web service and sorely missed the macro command and the flexibility and ended up having to resort to Copy & Paste & Edit repeatedly.
C# has its good points but you will come across many such "deficiencies" as you "progress".
