assuming that we talk about MS Windows, ENTER is not the key to leave a field. (At least not to go to the next field) The key to move trough the fields is
Tab (backwards Shift - Tab)
Enter is the key asigned to the DEFAULT command button. IOW enter will fire the click event of the default button.
