It's where college players go to get better.
Interesting piece on Adrian Peterson in Sports Illustrated a couple of weeks ago, before he broke loose against the Bears. He said how much more challenging it is in the NFL. He said every player is a star and holes close almost faster than you can recognize them. He (along with the other rookies profiled) said he is working as hard as he can just to keep up.
>NFL?? Isn't that the place where college players go to retire?

>>Kevin is no longer a regular so I thought I would toss a general question out there. What are your comments on the NFL season so far? It is about 1/3 of the way through and not exactly going according to form.

>>Between soccer and Emily's volleyball I haven't seen much, it's mostly through the news, but due to a soccer rainout I did see the Bears-Vikings game on Sunday. This kid Adrian Peterson is the real deal. You would have to go back to Barry Sanders or Eric Dickerson to find a running back who brought this much excitement into the league. He is like Reggie Bush was at USC, only he's doing it in the pros. He torched the Bears for three long TD runs, a kickoff return that set up the winning field goal, and ran for around 220 yards from scrimmage. The Bears are being beat up around here for poor tackling, which is true up to a point, but he made them miss some of those tackles. An electrifying runner. Every team that passed on him because of his leg injury his senior year at Oklahoma must be gnashing their teeth.
