That's lame. In the US you can protest gov. decisions and change them. In the Soviet Union, that got you imprisoned. There was only one party in the Soviet Union, there are multiple parties here. I could go on and on. Any similarties can only be argued on the "power corrupts" argument, but here we have checks and balances on power so that one group or one person does not have overwhelming power.
