John,

This can also happen if you use Vista intensively -- Aero has been known to leak through the keyboard and into your hands and so on. Keep them on the keyboard long enough, and your entire self becomes first transparent, then invisible. Cool enough for Halloween, but otherwise real annoying (my kids tell me all the time now that "Dad, you are SOOOO transparent" -- yeah, Vista took me from plain parent to transparent in one single week, which may be a bug or may be a feature, no matter, it is starting to bug me big time...)

The good news: Now that I reinstalled XP, I'm starting to become my own opaque self again. Can you see what I'm thinking now? I didn't think so, either.

>Shoot, I just thought that was the result of the new transparency that was being promoted before I left MS! :-)

>>>Dave, when I was with MS I was amazed at the stunning ignorance of the rest of the Dev Division on the status of FoxPro. The gaffe does not surprise me.

>>It's not really a gaffe . . . we're just part of that season where next season it will be explained away as a dream . . . we don't really exist. Look at your hands, you'll probably notice that you can start to see through them. <g>
