Strickly speaking Java does not have a native grid. The functional equivalent is called a table. You can download Java NetBeans ( version 6 beta) and go thru the database demos to see how it works. By the way, this is fully functioning and costs $0.00. It has the same or more capability as .Net and does come with a built in database.
