Known to whom?

Known to me, and to MSFT.

Update: Two days ago YAG wrote this: http://blogs.msdn.com/yag/archive/2007/10/16/updated-sp2-now-online.aspx So, there's already a Refresh (nice word Colin). Now I have to check whether that one no longer has the bugs I discovered? Or do you (Colin) imply that there will gonna be published a next, a second, Refresh?

I did not know that the refresh had been made available already. That is the refresh I referred to, and it will (I hope) contain the fix to ReportPreview.App.

I guess the other bug I mentioned (see the main message of the thread) is also related to ReportPreview.app?! Hopefully that one can be addressed at the same time.

I have no knowledge about that. It would be sad indeed if that particular bug fixed in SP1 has reverted in SP2.

ReportPreview may reveal the bug, but the bug is in the base VFP9.EXE. Other combinations of topforms and toolbars and modality will also exhibit the problem you described originally.

By the way, if you are all unsure about relying on the SP2 VFP9.EXE, then you can, if you wish, use the Report*.App components delivered with SP2 with the SP1 version of VFP9. It all works as expected. Some of the optimizations made in the SP2 base product won't be there but you probably won't notice.

Also, you can write your own preview to get exactly the behavior you want, or to work around deficiencies in the shipping apps.
