This is just a guess, but how about creating a toolbar based on the VFP toolbar baseclass and then putting the ActiveBar ActiveX class in it. Not sure if it'll work and I think the coding for it would be a bit of a hassle but might be worth a try.
Also, VFP6 is almost out. Maybe the GUI of the toolbars are better in this version.

But we mainly want to use the ActiveBar (ActiveX component) because it looks nicer then the Foxpro toolbar (more like windows 98). So we create a form and then attach the ActiveX toolbar to it. But because we created a form that form gets focused and there for the form which SHOULD be focused looses the focus. And therefor it won't run the correct routines.
