Yep, with the exception of getting and setting the description, I did with some help from Vlad Tatavu. If you ever get the time to look at that MS KB article, here's a big hint. Don't name the code file with the extension .cpp, use .c. Otherwise, it won't compile. I copied the entire DLL code into a new file and gave it a .cpp extension. When I went to compile 102 errors. Changed the extension (and nothing else) to .c, compiled and ran without a hitch.

I wouldn't know either. Even though I've got Outlook Express, we use ccMail. I've got no HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\mailto\shell\open\command entry.
