First MS tried to convince hard core VFP developers that they'd have to move to .net

Perhaps that did'nt work like they wanted.

But... VFP9 had some bugs and they probably thought of another way to get VFP developers unto .net. Yeah yeah they say that VFP would be supported until 2015 (or something like that) but they never said that VFP would be perfectly supported. So they released SP2 and still apparently there are many flaws.

I guess that MS will wait and see what happens. Will VFP developers really unite and put pressure on MS so that VFP9 is really as strong as it should be. But are there enough VFP developers to do that nowadays? And for MS this is so risky. Making VFP9 flawless could mean developers never leaving that product. Ooooohh too scary.

Or will they really get the MS message and go the .net way.

So I'd say that MS is waiting to see reactions. This is only a test. They know that at some point developers won't care. They just don't know when this will happen.

So the testing continues...

Supported until 2015. ROFL
