When I lived in Novato (SF North Bay) we rented a house on a creek. We frequently had more than a dozen wild turkeys in the back yard. They weren't a problem except that
1. They ate the bird seed my wife put out for the smaller birds 2. They, ummmmmmm, fertilized the area quite liberally 3. They frequently flew onto the roof. You would be amazed at how much noise a dozen turkeys walking on the roof and then jumping into the yard can make. 4. It's illegal to harvest them for Thanksgiving (not that I would have anyway - I'm not a hunter)
