Learning for the sake of learning has been something that I have enjoyed. As an example it has helped me by being months ahead of other programmers I have worked with. If you have time then you can enjoy learning new technology.

If your time is limited then look at the job market in your area. What skill set is needed? Go for it!

Whatever you study this week may well be obsolete next week. That is the technology game. :)
