Yes, I used GenTabX from Steve Black (along with his INTL program - got it all working in French and English). And when I first switched to the new look and feel, I did not like it as much - now it does indeed look old!

>I work for a company here in Cambridge that has developed a back office accounting program. My previous employer was an engineering firm in Kitchener that had an application written in FPW26 as well. After seeing your screen shots that had tabbed pages I thought to myself, man those were the "good old days". Did you use the GenTabX (or something like it) to create the tabbed pages under FPW26? I did and ran into an issue where if I tried to put one more control on a screen, the code for creating the tab pages got too huge and failed! Talk about pushing the limits <g>.

>>Hi Mike,
>>
>>Do you mean my "HockeyStat" demo? Can you still spell FPW2.6a :-) This was an app written initially about 10 years ago and by the time it got to the "mature" phase (no new features needed for the most part), the market had shrunk a lot both in Canada and the US - too many players chasing too few dollars. So the money was just not there to rewrite it into VFP. So it remains stranded in 16 bit and boy, is it fun to try to maintain it if a fix is needed. Thankfully, there has not been much to do on it for a few years. I don't even actively seek out new customers - I just help the existing ones and hope that it keeps working under Windows.

>>>Further to what Borislav has said, check into the VFP8 samples "Member Classes" from the Task Pane manager. There is one for grid columns.

>>>PS. Your company's demo is definitely not VFP is it? It looks so "retro" :)

But I would rather subclass the column and then somehow use this in my data entry subclass as the default column class.
