Why don't you just:

ACTIVATE POPUP listmake ;
AT thisform.txtUv_make.top+thisform.txtUv_make.height, ;
thisform.txtUv_make.left

since you know where the mouse is located?

When a user clicks a buttun next to a text box, I want the mouse pointer to be positioned at the bottom left corner of the text box and the popup activated there.
