I don't see that. No one is speaking of military action yet. In fact, it appears that they are trying to avoid it. Only the media keeps suggesting such a thing at this point. It has been the standard all along throughout history for the government to make plans for every contingency imaginable. That has always been the case. They are working hard for a diplomatic resolution with Turkey and the Kurds as well. What have you seen or read that points to a repeat of the Iraq fiasco? It would have to be military buildup, a breakdown of communications, something tangible somewhere? I have seen numerous articles and interviews where it has been suggested (by specialists outside of the government) that it would make more sense to go after Iran because Iran is and has been a threat when Iraq turned out not to be. Nothing like that from anyone in our government though.

>>>He's too busy planning the bombing of Iran.

>>>On the train yesterday I read a New Yorker article by Seymour Hersh about the administration's thoughts on Iran. (Man, does that guy have sources). One of the things mentioned is that the CIA group responsible for Iran has been beefed up to the point that it is the biggest group for any country. He wrote that the buildup has been similar to what happened with the Iraq group in the fall of 2002.

>>Just a guess on my part, but given history I would think the humint from Iran is much better than what we had coming from Iraq.
>>
>>But don't you think it is appropriate right now to have the Iran desk beefed up? The big complaint with Iraq was that we acted with flawed, incomplete or improperly analyzed intelligence.
