I've seen a Citrix setup last week where they had a Printing Client thingy that the users could download. Didn't have the patience to stay with it to the end (it was on a Vista laptop, where every single move took about two point five forevers), and there was no point to it as we didn't have any printer at hand to try it. But you may want to look into it - looks fairly new to me and may solve your problems.
