Apparently, 'Chumly' is correct, so, spelling it 'Cholmondeley' means that 'ol' is pronounced 'u' and we are left with the extraneous letters 'o', 'n', 'd' and two extraneous 'e's.
I think this could all be solved if our respective governments started taxing extraneous letters.
