>>Based on a promo from Amazon I signed up today for web site hosting with GoDaddy.com. The price was dirt cheap so I decided what the heck. Now that I have a domain name, a mailbox, and blogging capability, all I have to do is figure out what to do with it. GoDaddy lets me create a web site externally and then upload it to the domain name (the wildly inventive michaelbeane.com). Can anyone recommend a simple, cheap web site creation tool? At first it probably won't be much more than some text and links to email me or go to my blog. Part 2, looking for similar software to set up and update a blog.

>I can also recommend DotNetNuke, but I'm not sure how difficult it is to setup on GoDaddy.com. The nice things about DotNetNuke (other than being free!) is that it is ASP.NET, open-source, and very well supported by third-party products. Setting it up can be a bit of a hassle, though, unless your hosting provider is familiar with DNN.

As popular as it is, I can't imagine there is a reputable provider who isn't familiar with it.
