Maybe it's how Turks pronounce it:), indeed Menal or Manal can be translated as "something you wish to get". See the following website: http://www.sudairy.com/arabic/fem.html#M. My cousin's name is Manal which is a beautiful name:)

>>Hi Metin,
>>
>>Congratulations! I have asked my wife who has studied Arabic, but she could not say what it means other than the verb addition. Do you have any reference to the quranic word?

>>>Hi Arab Friends
>>>I'll have my second daughter in next seven months. My wife found a name for her: Minel. We know that's from Quran. But we're not sure for it's mean.
>>>
>>>I found at internet some explanations:
>>>-Pearl from heaven
>>>-a verb addition like "from"
>>>-something you wish to get
>>>
>>>If the first is true, that's beatiful. But if second, I don't want my daughter name as a verb addition... :(
>>>
>>>What's the truth?
