>Ok. But do you consider this idea original or unique?
I consider it an original evolution to existing ideas, like Monadology, Greek Monism, and monotheism.
>And ... so what?
The pieces of the puzzle required to make a scientific hypothesis out of those metaphysics are finally here.
Until this very day, it would have been impossible to even conceive of an alternative to using equations to describe space, time and matter.
But with our new knowledge and technology, we will find that the basic ideas for alternatives have existed all along.
Imagine you use a program to define some initial conditions like this.
oObject = createobject("custom")
oObject.AddProp("X", 0)
oObject.AddProp("Y", 0)
oObject.AddProp("Z", 0)
oObject.AddProp("dX", 1)
oObject.AddProp("dY", -1)
oObject.AddProp("Z", 0)
Then you run some rules over the conditions:
for each oObj in aObjects
oObj.X = oObj.X + oObj.dX
oObj.Y = oObj.Y + oObj.dY
oObj.Z = oObj.Z + oObj.dZ
That could be seen as a rule for inertia.
No equations.
Now imagine the rules are more complicated, and we have objects with charges, and they some how react in a way that looks electromagnetic.
If that were the case, we'd have something that looks like electrons and protons. We could make things that look like atoms. Or molecules. Or tissue. Or organs.
We could use a program like this to make neurons and a neural network.
If that neural network is made of electromagnetic-like interactions, and if it observes its environment through electromagnetic-like interactions, the neural network will contain information about its environment.
In fact, if it is sophisticated enough, it will contain a model of its environment.
The question I ask, is does the internal abstract model in the neural network differ from the data in the computer's variables.
We will never know for sure until we do this.
But I predict it does differ.
I predict we will find the information of the neural network demonstrates all the known laws of physics EVEN IF the data in the computer's variables seems to violate laws like the Uncertainty Principle or special relativity.
