Yes, of course they do.
But they still use the same methods he did, they just take them for granted as immutable.
For example, Netwon wrote F = ma.
Einstein wrote E = Mc2.
Heisenberg wrote hbar <= dx * dp.
All equations.
All have variables describing space, time, and matter.
