>No, MSCOMM doesn't support file transfers. Back in FP/DOS, I used some of the 3rd party tools and they worked fine except you have to maintain a modem database or a list of supported modems. In FPW and VFP, I started using MAPI and program maintenance time was dramatically reduced.

You may want to check out CommTools, by Magna Carta software. You can either get it direct, or I think Hallogram carries it. (check FoxPro Advisor for the number) I'm using it and it seems adequate. It supports Kermit and all the others I've ever needed/wanted.
