>I read that the so-called Baghdad diaries were bogus in both the NY Times and Newsweek. Sometimes I think people think there is a lot more of a liberal conspiracy than there actually is. Or conservative conspiracy, for that matter. Although there is less allegiance to objectivity than there used to be, I think the vast majority of mainstream news organizations really are trying to report the news.

Though your main point is well taken. And I think the same applies to Fox news ( I don't vouch for anything else on the Fox News channel as I find that kind of programming mostly unwatchable whatever the political stripe )
