One way to do this is using TCP Sockets. This will require that you are running TCP/IP and that you have a third party tool for programming with sockets in VFP. I recommend Mabry's ASocket control. It's only $35US and you can download an evaluation copy for free. It takes a bit of work to figure out all the nuances of socket programming, but once you've got it it works quite well.
