I agree.
BS Systems Analsys - Miami University
Aside from the fact that it can be one heck of a four year party, college does give you a broader view of the world than work alone.
The program at Miami is very analytical. Lots of math, programming, analysis and design. With a 15-20% focus on the business or liberal arts side of things. Before there were a lot of C/S-type degrees out there, recruiters went after math and music majors. Analytical thought process.
For those college grads out there: When's the last time you had the opportunity to examine a business and/or I/T problem on a purely theoretical level? Probably in college. How may of you have gotten your MBA and had it completely change your outlook on you job and the industry you're in?
I wouldn't trade my college life or degree for ANY amount of job experience.
