SP2 (latest) is installed on clean VFP9 but on Virtual machine running XP professional
if this makes any difference.

Problematic behaviour is explained earlier in this thread.
You can try yourself. Tried today on VFP9/SP1 it works ok so it must hv been introduced with sp2.
