Usually pitchers bunt it into the air for an easy out because they have no idea how to do it. I agree that in the NL, pitchers should take more time in the cage. For obvious reasons, this is not much of an issue in the junior circuit.

I've see pitchers bunt foul three times, or do a mix of missing and bunting foul. I always curse when I see a pitcher square to bunt with two strikes.
