Who's gonna fix their lousy old sanskrit when it needs it I don't know (maybe I'll be called in ad hoc as a consultant). I won't have to work my 3 months's notice, which I may get tax-free, plus my severance pay - maybe I'll get equiv. of 6 months' net.

It's tough out there. Time for some retraining. I was worried about this some time ago. Started learning C# and ASP.NET and now do a lot of that and some VFP (less and less is required unfortunately). It is important to have knowledge of different tools. The wider the skillset the more chanes of finding something. I know you can do it. The knowledge is within you. Don't despair.

Keep us informed.
