I don't know if this is still true. But when the Raiders were in Los Angeles 10 yrs or so ago, a coworker of mine lived close to where the Raiders practiced. His insurance agent sold insurance to a bunch of players.

The agent told him that the players were scared that Al would retire as his son was next in line and his son is far nuttier then Al. Similar to Steinbrenner's sons taking over the Yankees.

>>>>I caught part of the game last night and also enjoyed the outcome, since I am a Packers fan. (In addition to a Bears fan; the Packers are #2).
>>>
>>>Packers and Bears fan? Huh?
>>>That's like saying...
>>>-I'm a Steelers fan and a Browns fan.
>>>-I'm a Yankees fan and a Red Sox fan.
>>>-I'm a Raiders fan and an Al Davis fan.
>>>
>>>I've heard of fence sitting but wow. Just wow.
>>
>>
>>It's not fence sitting. When they play head to head I always cheer for the Bears. It just happens that my second favorite tam is their fiercest rival and plays in the same division. I have liked the Packers since I was a kid.
>
>Me too. When I was young, there was Starr, Hornung, Taylor, Adderly, Grabowski, Gregg, Kramer, Nitschke, Robinson, Thurston, etc, etc. Man, what a team. How could I root for anybody else? And what a division - the 'black and blue' division. Some really intense football.

>>
>>Top 3 reasons I am a Packers fan:
>>
>>1. The uniforms (that's the part that started when I was a kid)
>>2. That they are in by far the NFL's smallest market, and the bond the entire state of Wisconsin has with the Packers.
>>3. Brett Favre
>>
>>I know on the surface cheering for both the Bears and the Packers doesn't make sense, but since when does life always make sense? ;-)
>>
>>PS -- Good line about Al Davis. He had his day, no question, but I don't think that franchise is going to get well until he's out of the picture.
