The payroll module was not written by the (SBT, ACCPAC, BEST what ever they are called today!) staff. This is one of the few modules that was written by a third party. That is why their knowledge of the internal workings of it are so poor. This module is totally ignored in their advanced technical training class. The last day of training we were encouraged to provide examples of changes we would like to see. When I asked for an example of how to create a simple PR report and add it to the existing menu. I was told PR was different from any of the other modules and therefore would not be a good example. I was directed to create the report as a custom report and add it to the custom menu. Good luck getting any documentation. If there is any I honestly don't think they would know where to find it.
