Awww ... did you and your buddies miss your pizza party?

I don't know that it has anything to do with going soft. Doesn't it seem reasonable to delay the execution until a directly relevant case is decided? It isn't 100% clear in the article but it sounds like the execution is only delayed, not commuted.
