>>>Look, all I'm saying is just because one thinks it's revenge, doesn't mean it is.
>>>I don't view it as revenge. I look at it as just.
>>>
>>>You can use revenge arguement with any form of punishment. Punishment should fit the crime. There is no justice in allowing violent/calculating murders to keep their life when they've taken others'. We put down violent dogs after they've mauled/killed a human. Murders are no longer human, in my view, and have no place in our society.

>>Ok, I guess that's where we part opinions. Murderer or not, imho, a human being is still a human being. I guess if you see this person as not human, then it becomes much easier. I can't turn it off like that.

>Do you think a person who buries a young girl alive after raping and torturing her is human?

1. I'm afraid so, yes. Do I think he is a disgusting, cowardly, despicable excuse for a human being? Yes. But still, a human being.

>Do you think a person who robs a store and kills everyone there execution style is human or have any regard for human life?

2. See answer 1 above for whether he is human. As to the 2nd part, I think he has no regard for human life. Just as I think that those who would kill him in cold blood have no such regard either.

>Do you think someone who takes out an insurance policy just so he can murder his own son to collect is human?

3. See answer 1 above.

>I wish you would have more compassion for those that can't speak/defend for themselves.

Now you're way out on limb. Yes I do have compassion for them. I'm just not that into revenge. Besides, when you strap somebody down so they can't move and inject them with poison, is that not a person who cannot defend himself?

My aunt was murdered. I do not seek revenge. The fact that the human garbage has been put away will have to suffice. Do I feel it is enough? Perhaps not, but killing him gets me nothing, and her even less.
