FaxServe is a good product. I wanted to go true OLE rather than DDE, that is why I chose WinFax. I wrote a fax server a client is selling commercially (80 copies in 2 months). My app does the same as yours, except I sit and look for data on the comm port, and kick off on a ON COMM event. We have tested with upwards of 5000 faxes on a WIN 95 PC, and as long as you have disk space, it works great (so delete sucessfull faxes!). We convert data from a proprietary system and format it to fit special forms. My customers system is terminal based, so they fax GUI faxes with their company logo and formatted output from their ASCII terminals. They can even send any file (pagemaker, PDF, etc) that they can store on the Win95 PC, and use any WinFax customized cover sheets.
>We are using FaxServe and the BitWare client from Cheyenne (now Computer Associates) with FoxPro with great success. We have one dedicated PC, 24 x 7, that processes a queue of messages from our VFP application and faxes message directly using a DDE interface and also uses Word templates to fax documents through the same interface.
