true.
Last night I was surprised when six children came trick-or-treating at my place. I was not expecting any. I had to actually find some candy for them.
>If Halloween falls on a Sunday here then it is celebrated on the Saturday before. Here in the South you are lucky that kids are allowed to celebrate Halloween at all. On a Sunday? No way!

>>>Where I live now, in the suburbs, Halloween is observed but the town sort of keeps a lid on it. Trick or treating is between 1 and 5 p.m. the Sunday before Halloween.

>>I remember Whil saying that where he lives, trick-or-treating is on the Sunday, too. I think that's so strange.

>>Tonight, the kids will be out in force. Unfortunately, very few will come to my door, since my street has no sidewalks and the houses are far apart. I'll probably see the kids from next door (unless they're with their dad tonight), and the ones from the across the street.
